Yes, it is an extraneous thing .. damn.. jimmy carter the peanut farmer .??? what an ass whipe. .. this department starts under him .. (good) -- this guy is the one who sent a helicopeter team to Iran to free american citizens from the 'hostage crisis' and the helicopters crashed and killed the whole crew because of flyign too close to the ground in the desert and the sand killing the engines...

now it is a big , fat , wasteful department consuming a bunch of resource and not even making the original intention of the department any better but far far worse than when it started ?

Great stuff, Shelly. The announcer is a gomer and that Jack guy is inarticulate. You made the show. The show's premise is great, though their initial announcement of who's worth keeping needs to go. ALL departments should be considered for the Wrecking Ball. Treasury, Defense, all of 'em.

I agree wholeheartedly. If we're ever going to reduce the size of Federal Government, we absolutely need to look at each department and see is it's actually worthwhile having in the first place. There are many others that end up causing much more damage than they're worth.

We desperately need to inject some common sense into what we're spending money on.

We should also abolish the Department of the Interior. National parks should be operated by private conservation trusts and not the centralized, one-size-fits-all bureaucracy that is the National Park Service. The same can be said for BLM and Fish and Wildlife lands.

On a side note, I hate FOX News.
